McCormick Ranch
McCormick Ranch is one of Scottsdale’s original master-planned communities, developed in the early 1970s on land that was once part of the McCormick family ranch. The 3,100-acre community stretches from Indian Bend Road north to Shea Boulevard, just west of the Loop 101. If you love Scottsdale but prefer mature trees, green grass and lakes to a more traditional desert setting, McCormick Ranch has a completely different feel. Old Town Scottsdale is just a few miles south, yet the neighborhood itself feels established and residential.
Most of the condos and townhomes were built in the late 1970s and 1980s, with everything from smaller condos to spacious townhomes and a particularly good selection of single-level patio homes. Many have been extensively remodeled over the years, and properties overlooking the lakes, golf courses and greenbelts are especially sought after.
