News > Optima McDowell Mountain Village Condos For Sale - Coming Soon?
2024-12-14
Head north on Scottsdale Road around Mayo Blvd and you'll see the latest Optima highrise construction project - Optima McDowell Mountain Village. It's going to be a big development - with 1330 luxury residences planned. Construction at the sister project, Optima Kierland, is complete with resales on the market. The developer had good enough success at Kierland that the Optima MMV will most likely follow a similar model.
Apartments? And/Or Condos?
Although it's early in the construction schedule, the conjecture is that Optima will probably have some buildings that will have all condos for sale and other buildings that Optima will own and control for rent. This is a similar arrangement as the Optima Kierland, and according to media sources, the first building, which is currently under construction, will be apartments for lease. No rent prices have been announced, but prices at the buildings for rent at Optima Kierland are approximately $2300 per month for a studio to over $8000 per month for larger apartments with the better views.
The Big Draw - Amenities
Optima McDowell Mountain Village is scheduled to have an awesome set of amenities, some of which include:
- Rooftop running track
- Rooftop resort pool, great for laps
- Basketball court
- Dog park
- Large fitness room and yoga studio
- Club room for get togethers
- Sauna and steam room
- Outdoor pickleball arena
- Spa and cold plunge
How Will Living at Optima McDowell Mountain Village Compare to Optima Kierland?
Optima Kierland has many of the same amenities as those planned for Optima McDowell Mountain Village. The major difference between the two is the location. Optima MMV is adjacent to the 101 and Scottsdale Road, making it really easy to zip around Scottsdale and North Phoenix. There's some desert hiking close as well at the Gateway Trailhead. But for those who love great access to restaurants and shopping, Optima Kierland is the clear winner currently. Over 30 restaurants and coffee shops are a walk away at Kierland Commons and The Scottsdale Quarter. Though Optima MMV is happily across the street from a Whole Foods and a few restaurants as well, it doesn't compare to the shopping and dining panacea of Kierland. The big unknown is the 36,000 square feet of retail and commercial space planned for the Optima MMV property which could even the playing field somewhat.
Whether you choose to wait for Optima McDowell Mountain Village or buy at one of the other highrises in Scottsdale, the future for condo living is bright in the area! We'd be happy to talk to you about what is available now and how they compare.
