News > Ritz Carlton Residences Set to be the Ritziest in Downtown Scottsdale

published on 2016-10-02

The Ritz-Carlton Residences sold out quickly during its summer debut, with prices ranging from $1 million to $5 million. Construction on what are expected to be the most posh condos in Scottsdale begins on this summer and should be completed by 2018.

The Ritz-Carlton name is synonymous with luxurious appointments, attention to detail and fine living. It’s been more than 10 years since the company has built a new resort in the United States and all indications are they are pulling out all the stops to make this the number one luxury development in the state, if not the country. There will be 200 hotel rooms, separate pools for adults, families and homeowners, a garden to provide local produce for the restaurants, a citrus orchard, a spa and underground parking to keep the landscape pristine.

Ritz-Carlton created the gold standard for hotels back in the early 1900s with their first effort in Boston. Such things as private baths in rooms, professional uniforms for all the staff, fresh flowers and gourmet cuisine established a high bar in the hotel industry. The company, now owned by Marriott International, displays a lion’s head in a crown as their logo, depicting the marriage of royalty and wealth.

The Ritz-Carlton condos all offer the latest in technology, including multi-zone HVAC control, wireless internet, cable TV and flat-screen televisions in the living room and bedrooms. The chef’s kitchen is a cook’s delight with Wolf appliances, Sub-Zero refrigerator and custom lighting. The kitchen is outfitted with premium Ritz-Carlton silverware, glasses and pots and pans. An espresso maker and other small appliances are also part of the offering. The luxury continues in the living room and bedroom with quality designer furniture and floor-to-ceiling windows that open to capture the desert breeze. A concierge service is also at your beck and call to help with travel, recreation and other needs.

The Palmeraie is a 15-acre development next to the Ritz-Carlton that will feature more than 160,000 square feet of shops and restaurants. Being constructed in two stages, the Palmeraie will have lighted courtyards, terraces and a place for public events such as art festivals. Expect the mix of restaurants and shops to be similar to the highly successful Scottsdale Quarter or Kierland Commons. The shops are expected to be mostly luxury retail outlets, taking advantage of the high median income in Paradise Valley. Construction on the commercial development should begin by the end of 2016.
