Cave Creek is a quaint, western town in the Sonoran Desert dotted with cacti, horse properties, saloons, unique shops that sell everything "cowboy," art galleries, and plenty of restaurants. It's tucked so close to the town of Carefree in the North Valley, it's considered a sister community.
Family owned feed and tack shops, saddleries, and stables dot the streets. Rodeos pass through this town throughout the year, and the annual Wild West Days feature events like the Wild West Golf Classic, bull riding at The Buffalo Chip Saloon, wagon rides, pig races, and so much more. Cave Creek Condo owners will enjoy the fun events here as well as the quiet you can't get in most of the Scottsdale and Phoenix area south of here.
A fine art and wine festival is held each year in Stagecoach Village, an open air shopping plaza. Original art as well as handcrafted furniture and jewelry are on display as visitors sample wine beneath white canopies. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the Cave Creek Thieves Market is held the first Saturday of each month. This old fashioned flea market favors vintage and handmade items.
Spur Cross Ranch, purchased by the state and the town of Cave Creek in 2000 is comprised of over 2,000 acres of untouched Sonoran desert with hundreds of Hopi Indian artifacts. It's now a Maricopa County park where residents and visitors alike can hike, bike, camp, or ride their horses.
Though a town like Cave Creek seems an unlikely area for condo developments, we suggest Cave Creek Condos for those who want care free living but also want to enjoy the desert atmosphere and everything that goes with it.
