We're happy to see some more loft inventory in downtown Scottsdale with the newly for-sale community of 4020 Lofts.  These units were formerly for rent but are now offered for sale between $330 and $380 per square foot for 2nd floor units, depending upon location and floorplan. 

These lofts are not for those looking for a traditional condo.  Floorplans are totally open, and though loft owners can come up with some interesting "movable walls" to separate the bedroom area, it won't make condo buyers expecting a true bedroom completely happy.  Still, these condos exude cool with their floor-to-ceiling windows, concrete counters and exposed ductwork.   Some upper floor loft units have a rooftop deck to enjoy the stars or get some sun.

The competition for 4020 Lofts is the arts district's Main Street Plaza Lofts and Downtown Scottsdale's Third Avenue Lofts, both which rarely have loft units available for sale, which explains the interest in 4020.  It's clear that the loft concept can work in Scottsdale with a reasonable price point.
