When Is the Best Time to Sell My Scottsdale Condo
July 12, 2026Can I Buy a Scottsdale Condo Remotely?
You’ve been watching the market for months and the perfect condo just hit. The only problem — you’re a thousand miles away and can’t get on a plane today. The good news is that buying remotely is not only possible, it’s become increasingly common, especially in a second-home market like Scottsdale. With the right team and a few simple tools, the entire process can be handled seamlessly from wherever you are.
Finding the Right Condo
Most of our remote buyers have visited Scottsdale before and have already narrowed down their preferred communities — ones with the amenities, locations, and lifestyle they’re looking for. From there, we monitor the market and alert you when something matching your criteria comes available.
Listing photos only tell part of the story. Agents naturally highlight a property’s best features, which can leave you wondering about the view from the balcony or why the second bedroom wasn’t pictured. When a condo catches your eye, we’ll visit the unit and send you a detailed video walkthrough — covering everything from the coat closet to a full panoramic view from the balcony. We can also set up a live FaceTime showing so you can ask questions in real time while we’re there.
Signing the Contract
Remote contract execution is simple. Using tools like DocuSign or Authentisign, all you need is an email address. We’ll align on key terms like price and closing date, prepare the contract, and send it to you for an electronic signature. Counter offers are handled the same way.
Once both parties have signed, escrow opens and you’ll need to wire your earnest deposit to the escrow company promptly. You’ll receive wire instructions from the escrow officer — but always verify those instructions by calling the escrow officer directly using a trusted phone number before sending any funds. Wire fraud is a real and growing risk, and this one extra step can protect you.
Most lenders work with remote buyers routinely, so the loan process won’t require you to be in Scottsdale.
The Inspection
Some buyers fly in for the inspection, but it’s not necessary. We attend on your behalf and can arrange a phone call or FaceTime with the inspector to walk through the findings together. The inspection period is also your window to negotiate repairs — or to cancel the purchase if something significant comes up.
Once repairs are agreed upon and completed, a walkthrough to confirm everything was done is a good idea. A trusted friend or family member in the area can handle this, or you can bring the original inspector back to verify.
Closing
Closing remotely is straightforward. The closing documents require a notary, so the title company can arrange for a mobile notary to come to you, or you can visit a local notary yourself. The signed paperwork is then overnighted back to the title company, the deed is recorded with the county, and the condo is yours.
